Olga Gurton is a Siberia-born photographer who has been working as a Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC photographer for well over half a decade. Plus, she has 14+ years of studio experience as a professional photo retoucher. In that time, she’s developed an amazing ability to help couples lower their guard, allowing her to take some of the rawest, most sincere photographs you’re likely to come across.

Hi there, I’m Olga

A wedding and brand photographer based in Olney, Maryland. My love for photojournalism originated in my home city, Saint- Petersburg, where I studied cultural arts and photography. That is when I fell in love with the beauty of classical art and the interplay of light and color. After moving to Maryland over 15 years ago, I kept my passion for visual arts and studied film at the New York Institute of Photography. Nine years ago, a friend asked me to shoot my first wedding, and I was blown away! Since then, I've been enamored with the art of wedding photography. My daughter used to assist me as a model and second shooter until she pursued her passion in media and graphic design. We share our home with my husband, who supports my photography career, even though it often means I am not home on weekends or holidays, and 2 rescue black cats, Sasha and Sam. I find creative inspiration during my favorite moments – walks in the park at sunrise. The tranquility of nature and the quiet surroundings fuel my creative energy.
