6 Special Exit Ideas That Will Make Your Wedding Day Unforgettable

Your wedding is the most important celebration of your life and should be fun-filled from the moment it starts to the moment it ends. So make sure to plan ahead for an unforgettable finish. Grand exits are a great way to structure the night, keep guests excited until the end of the day, and make you and your future spouse feel like the king and queen of the world as you say goodbye to guests!

I have witnessed lots of different amazing send-offs; some of them are romantic, fun, and whimsical. There are tons of ideas that you can do for your grand exit. Here are 6 of the best grand exit ideas for an unforgettable wedding.

Disclaimer: Before planning any type of special exit, check with your venue and venue county rules and regulatons!

1)

Confetti Exit

Confetti is amazing in any send-off pictures, and it really makes a statement. Almost every girl’s dream is to be showered with confetti while holding hands with the love of her life. Skip the boring exit and cherish this confetti moment that would make you feel like a princess in every way. Confettis also look great when photographed. The exploding colors, floating in the air with guests smiling for the newlyweds is such an amazing thing to look at. It’s hard not to think of joyful laughter and love when picturing a confetti exit for you and your man.

2)

Petals Exit

Flower petals are such a versatile wedding decoration. If you love glamour, colors, and fragrance at the same time, then this is for you. Petals are so romantic, plus it’s biodegradable! You don't need to feel guilty for ruining mother nature. Have your guests toss the same flowers that were in your bouquet or arrangements. It is cost-efficient, and will also make the air smell amazing! It doesn’t always have to be rose petals, you can also choose from lavenders or snapdragons. They’re soft and blow away nicely in the breeze.

3)

Sparklers Exit

The absolute go-to for wedding exits: sparklers! They offer one-of-a-kind pictures that will be amazing to look at forever. Aside from making the moment fun and exciting, it forms a great photo op for an amazing wedding photograph. To make your exit the grandest, go for the long sparklers instead of those used on the 4th of July. It will be a great way to glam up a casual wedding or add a sense of whimsy to a formal celebration.

TIP: Always check with your venue to see if they have specific rules/restrictions. Have a plan on who will light them, and designate a place where your guests can extinguish them safely.

Bubbles Exit

Bubbles are the perfect choice for everyone to enjoy, adults and kids alike. Not only that, they are inexpensive, safe, and put everyone in a good mood. Always a crowd pleaser! They reflect light beautifully and glisten with rainbow colors, creating dreamy and magical photographs that you’ll surely treasure forever. You wouldn’t even have to worry about the mess - no hassle, easy way to end your night. Confettis and petals might be pretty, but require extra post-ceremony cleanup. I love bubbles! And with enough ambient lighting, a bubble fest can be the best idea for an unforgettable grand wedding exit.

5)

Ribbons Exit

Aiming for a rustic great escape? Then streamers or ribbon wands are the best ways to do it! Wedding ribbon wands are incredibly easy to make and very budget-friendly. To make sure that everything will go with the wedding timeline, you’ll want those ribbons ready to go. You can place them in a tall glass or basket and put signage where everyone will be encouraged to get one. Your guests will love twirling these around for your exit, and the photo op will be so cute! Colors are customizable, so you can either mix and match or stick with a single color.

6)

Light Sticks Exit

The idea of open flames for some venues aren’t entirely amenable. If you’re looking for a no-flame sparkler, light sticks or glowing wands are one of my favorites! Battery-operated light sticks offer a unique alternative to the classic sparkler. They are fun and less dangerous too. There are all kinds of shapes and styles to check out. Also, light sticks create a cool photo finish in the dark. If you don’t love the idea of sticks waving, have your guests turn them into circles with the little connector piece and toss glowing circles your way. You don’t even need to worry about the mess because your guests would probably love to take these home too. A glow stick wedding send-off will surely end the night on a bright note.
